Why choose Blue Sky Agency?

How we work

  • Currently use agency staff? Work with us to cover a proportion of your agency requirements, and we’ll recruit ex-offenders to supply the labour you need (helping you generate social value through your day-to-day operations)

  • We can either directly employ ex-offenders ourselves and place them in your teams OR we can source and pre-screen candidates for you to employ through our brokerage service

  • For direct employment by Blue Sky, we can offer a range of fixed-term contracts, part-time or full-time, for up to 6 months
  • All our candidates are fully pre-screened – unlike many mainstream agencies, we know all about our candidates’ offending histories (you have to have a criminal record to work for us)
  • We offer employees a comprehensive package of in-work support including advice and guidance, interest-free loans and training grants
  • We support your local operational staff to make the placement process as smooth as possible – any complaints or performance issues with our employees, we’ll address them directly
  • Your local staff will see our employees perform day-in, day-out – the perfect opportunity to spot talent for upcoming vacancies for permanent positions.
  • We can also work with you to identify specific skills gaps and to source qualified candidate through Blue Sky Skills

What Our Partners Say

“Veolia is proud to support Blue Sky and the fantastic work it does. We are touched by this award and the recognition for our work alongside Blue Sky to get people into the world of work. The important thing is to carry on engaging with ex-offenders to give them a second chance and help with their future careers.”
Robert Hunt, Executive Director of Business Development, Veolia

“We’ve been working with Blue Sky over the last decade to help find work for ex-offenders. Giving people a fresh start is something that we passionately believe in and we’re extremely proud to not only have hit this milestone but that nearly half of the people we’ve brought on board have secured further employment”
Ian Dennison, Group HR and Communications Director, Amey

“Working with Blue Sky has proved to be a real productive partnership on the ground thus enabling Quadron to meet our high standards. In addition, our relationship with Blue Sky has greatly increased the number of people we are able to reach and offer opportunities within a highly supportive environment.”
Martyn Bradley, Operations Director, Quadron

Blue Sky Skills

Blue Sky is an accredited training provider, listed on the Skills Funding Agency’s Register of Training Organisations (ROTO). We currently deliver work taster sessions and short courses (accredited entry level 3 award in grounds maintenance and level 1 award in waste management) in a number of London prisons and also in the community:

Feedback From Training Participants

“Fantastic form of help for us … keep it going””

“I would recommend every prisoner to attend this course”

“Very helpful and it will help me to stay away from prison”

We are developing new training courses to meet the needs of our commercial clients and to help bridge the looming skills gaps facing many industry sectors – e.g. in rail, utilities, and transport (LGV drivers) where more people are retiring than entering the sectors. Facing a particular skills shortage in your industry? We’d like to talk to you.
